Alice In Wonderland - 1st and 2nd September 2018
Bored of her stuffy sister Lorina who embodies the Victorian ideals of childhood, the young Alice is more than excited by the appearance of an anxious white rabbit who exclaims that he is late.
After falling down a rabbit hole after the worrisome creature, Alice is transported into a Wonderland of tyrannical monarchs, fantastical creatures and talking flowers.
Throughout the play, Alice struggles to keep her sanity whilst shrinking and growing around strangers who challenge her logic and threaten to chop off her head.

As the dust of the industrial revolution settles over a new era, a visionary generation of idealists is rising, throwing their voice skywards, they shout for equality and a fairer world for all. A peaceful Cambridge street, a textile mill and an abandoned tailors shop become the centre of an elaborate battle of wits, sparking the beginnings of change for five bright young Victorians.

In the tale of A Midsummer Night’s Dream nothing could be truer: young lovers flee the constraints of their Athenian society into the Greenwood where it’s more than easy to lose your way. Here, the ancient fairies have their own affairs, in which mortals are merely the fools.

In the fictional island of Ivenway, a small community struggles with the harsh reality of island life and the worries of death, the law and survival.
Whispers of smuggling echo across the cove, a dark stranger is seen walking across the shadows..... It is not long since the redcoats dragged away the men of the village, leaving widows and fatherless children. If the law cathches up with them, the community could be in great danger.

'The Dream Child’ explores the life of Lewis Carroll, also known as Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, the author of the beloved classic ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’. As Carroll creates wonderland, his Victorian society transforms into a world of colourful characters through which he leads the young Alice Liddell.
Pride and Prejudice - September 2015
Adapted from Jane Austen's novel, the story follows the life of Elizabeth Bennet who must marry well or face future poverty when her father's estate passes to her cousin, but marrying for consequence is not part of her personality. However, the arrival of two young bachelors from the north of England, the amiable Mr Bingley and the mysterious Mr Darcy, throws her small Hertfordshire community into disarray; for it is truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in need of a wife….
